Why We’re Making This Transition
At MDT, we are always looking for ways to strengthen the reliability, performance, and long-term scalability of the solutions our clients depend on. As part of that commitment, we are pleased to share that we are transitioning operations from our Southfield data center to a new colocation facility in Michigan during 2026.
A Proven Foundation, Evolving Forward
Our Southfield environment has been a valuable part of MDT’s journey. It has supported our operations well and helped us serve our clients reliably over the years. As our business and clients’ needs continue to grow, this transition marks a natural next step in the ongoing evolution of our infrastructure.
Built for Security, Resilience, and Continuity
Like the Southfield data center, thenew environment has been designed with security, resiliency, and continuity in mind. It includes 24/7 monitoring of cameras, alarms, access systems, power, and HVAC, along with gated key-card entry, and biometric building access. From an infrastructure standpoint, the site includes dual electrical rooms, utility feeds, diesel generators, dual UPS/PDU architecture, and dedicated cooling systems.
Designed to Support Future Growth
This move is a strategic investment for our clients and MDT’s future. In addition to supporting greater scalability and operational flexibility, the new facility is built with expansion in mind and provides a stronger foundation for secure, stable, and future-ready infrastructure. It also supports the high standards our clients expect around reliability, compliance, and business continuity.
A Seamless Transition for Our Clients
We are approaching this migration with careful planning and attention to continuity, with the goal of making the transition as smooth and seamless as possible. Our team is committed to managing this process responsibly and keeping reliability at the center of every step.
Looking Ahead
We are excited about what this move represents for MDT and for the clients we serve. The new facility is an important step forward in our ongoing commitment to delivering secure, stable, and future-ready infrastructure.
