Hello everyone!
As the days get longer and the sun shines a little brighter, now is the time to reflect on the first half of the year – the lessons we’ve learned, the milestones achieved and the challenges and opportunities we’ve tackled together.
A major highlight was another successful MDT E3 Conference. We welcomed over 300 attendees, including credit union leaders, fintech partners and Jack Henry and MDT employees, to the heart of Detroit. The event featured nearly 45 inspiring sessions, along with a meaningful keynote from Jia Jiang, author of Rejection Proof, and a strategic update from Greg Adelson, Jack Henry’s President and CEO. I also had the opportunity to share what’s on the horizon for MDT and our credit union community. The energy in the room – and the chance to engage, educate and elevate together – made it one of our most impactful gatherings yet.
We were also proud to honor Larry Nichols’ retirement – a true celebration of his legacy and the many lives he’s touched. From his moment with the MDT Legends at E3 to a special celebration with team members from across the country, it was a heartfelt reminder of the community and culture we’ve built together. Check out more highlights here.
If you haven’t had the chance to connect, I also want to take a moment to welcome our new CFO, Emily Szymczak! Emily brings nearly 25 years of dynamic financial expertise to MDT, with a strong foundation in M&A, process improvement, and financial planning and analysis. She began her career in consulting, spending a decade immersed in strategy, turnaround and M&A projects. We’re thrilled to have her onboard – she’s already playing a vital role in supporting and accelerating our strategy.
We are honored to again be recognized by Arizent and Best Companies Group as a Best Place to Work to Fintech for the 6th consecutive year! This acknowledgment is more than an award; it’s a reflection of the culture we’ve worked hard to build together. Thank you to our MDT team for helping make this an organization where growth is nurtured, and all voices are heard.
Finally, I wanted to share a quick midyear check-in. So far, five successful conversions have been completed: Nebraska Energy Federal Credit Union, Homeland Credit Union, Sovita Credit Union, Alaska Air Group Credit Union and Georgetown Kraft Credit Union, along with one migration: Adventure Credit Union. In addition, several new credit unions have recently signed on, joining our vibrant community. It’s exciting to see this momentum building, and there’s much to look forward to in the months ahead.
Summer is a great time to celebrate progress, get excited and prepared for what’s next and find joy in both the big milestones and the quiet moments. Thank you for being part of the MDT journey. I’m proud of what we’re building together, and I’m excited for what the remainder of 2025 will bring.
Warm regards,
Chris
