“Find a job you love, and you will never work a day in your life.” While it might be debated as to who said this (Mark Twain, Confucius or a Princeton professor), the philosophy behind this saying withstands the test of time. At MDT’s E3 conference earlier this year, the MDT Women in Leadership Community sponsored session led by Cheryl Kuch, author of How to Reawaken your 3P’s Passion, Purpose and Potential, addressed this concept. Between burnout and stress from the pandemic to just the daily grind, our mental health and engagement levels at work have negatively been impacted.

The 3P’s and following the principle of Ikigai (the Japanese word meaning “life purpose”) provide a framework to help reignite our spark and enjoy life again. First, make a plan and get organized, then start small and put your plan into motion. Once your plan is moving forward, keep building on what is working and don’t forget to keep reaching toward bigger goals, never stop growing, and help spread the motivation to others to achieve their 3P’s.

Dive into Cheryl’s 3P’s handout and take back control of your future. Not only will you benefit, but those around you will too.
