MDT’s Summertime Logos

By Carol Kerr, VP, Marketing & Communications

If you’ve received any emails from an MDT employee over the past few weeks, you probably noticed our new, original signature block artwork!

MDT wanted to offer our employee’s children and grandchildren something fun to do during the time of sheltering in place and had the idea of letting our extended family members design a summertime MDT logo for MDT’s email signature block! We hoped there were enough artists among our MDT family that we could use a different design each week, continuing throughout the summer.

This activity was open to all children, grandchildren (including “steps”) of MDT employees, ages 4 to 17.  An MDT logo’d template (with just the outlines of the MDT logo) was provided to the employees so that the children could customize the logo however they wished.

Creative ideas were plentiful and by the contest deadline we had received 14 submissions!  MDT began to incorporate the children’s artwork in our signature blocks in June and this will continue through August.

All artists received a certificate signed by Larry Nichols that included their artwork, a printout of an email showcasing their design, and a Dairy Queen gift card.

If you missed any of the summertime logos, you can view all of the artwork by visiting www.mdtmi.com  and clicking About >> MDT Life >> Company Happenings >> About our summertime logos (more).  Artwork is displayed on the website after it ‘premiers’ in the MDT signature block.  Be sure to check back through the month of August.

So, be sure to check out these creative logos – we are proud of all of our artists!
