Movember is an annual event that encourages men to grow mustaches/beards during November to raise awareness of men’s health issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men’s suicide. On average, men die five years earlier than women across the world. Globally, around 10.8 million men have received a prostate cancer diagnosis, which is the second most diagnosed form of cancer in men. Also globally, testicular cancer is the most common cancer among young men. In addition, one man dies by suicide every minute of every day, with males accounting for 75% of all suicides. This year, the men of MDT will promote awareness of this men’s health crisis by growing mustaches and beards.
