Farmington Hills, MI – August 25, 2016 – Member Driven Technologies (MDT), a Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) that provides seamless, top-to-bottom IT solutions for innovative credit unions, successfully hosted its first CEO Forum on July 26-27, 2016, in Chicago, IL. The CEO Forum provides MDT’s client CEOs the opportunity to gather for a high level, peer-to-peer, strategic discussion with MDT’s C-level executives and key individuals from Symitar, MDT’s core processor business partner. This interactive forum is a win-win for all attendees – MDT’s client CEOs can tap into the group’s collective wisdom to understand strategically critical areas on the minds of credit union leaders today, while MDT and Symitar leadership can glean new ideas for products and solutions that will assist their clients in addressing strategic issues.
The forum discussion topics ranged from risk and fraud to payments, business intelligence, branch automation, and the member experience.
All of MDT’s board members attended the forum – a testament to the importance placed on this event – and roughly one-third of MDT’s client CEOs were there as well. Ted Bilke, President of Symitar, attended along with other key Symitar personnel, another indication of this meeting’s value.
The discussion was facilitated by Lee Wetherington, Director of Strategic Insight at Jack Henry & Associates, who guided the topics in a way that resonated with the credit union audience. The CEOs first shared their thoughts and ideas in small groups, and then the entire group collaborated further before moving on to the next topic.
The comments from all attendees echoed a solid sentiment – the meeting was time well spent.
“I think the forum provided an excellent source of access to MDT and Symitar leadership that can only help my credit union. It also gave me information to help guide us into the future with even greater success,” said Steven King, President/CEO of Montana FCU. Mike Williams, President/CEO of Colorado CU shared, “The format and the facilitator were both great. (I liked) the candid and open discussion of real issues with actionable items taken away. I was impressed and glad I attended.” Patrick Spyke, LAFCU CEO and Member Driven Technologies board member, summed up the entire experience: “I enjoyed the whole process of the CEO Forum and found it to be extremely beneficial. I am definitely planning to attend again and have even encouraged others who could not attend this year to mark their calendars for 2017.”
Larry Nichols, President/CEO of MDT summarized, “Our clients have solid ideas and concerns about their credit unions and the industry in general, so we expected a good conversation, but the focus and ideas generated by these leading CEOs far exceeded our expectations. We now have greater insight into our clients’ strategic needs and how we can better assist them in the future.”
